Opera.ca’s New Membership Platform

We are excited to announce our brand-new membership platform, Membee. Membee is a 1-stop shop for membership renewals, communications, receipts, events and more. Current Opera.ca members can request a link to log-in and ensure we have their current information by updating their profile. For a membership link, please contact membership@opera.ca. 2019 Winners of the COC Ensemble Studio Competition

Congratulations to the 2019 winners of the COC Ensemble Studio Competition. This year, both First Prize and Audience Choice Award went to Midori Marsh (soprano). Second Prize was awarded to Alex Halliday (bass-baritone), Third Prize to Charlotte Siegel (soprano), and CBC Music Young Artist Development Prize to Marcel d’Entremont (tenor).

Opéra de Montréal’s TALENT 2019 Gala

Opéra de Montréal held the third edition of its TALENT gala, showcasing the National Auditions for the Atelier lyrique program, in November. The ten finalists, chosen from over 130 artists from across the country, were competing for five coveted spots for the Atelier lyrique – a 2-year artist-in-residence training program at the Opéra de Montréal. The competitors were: Andrew Adridge (baritone), Jillian Bonner (mezzo-soprano), Sarah Dufresne (soprano), Sydney Frodsham (mezzo-soprano), River Guard (tenor), Charlotte Siegel (soprano), Marcel Sokalski (baritone), Jonah Spungin (baritone), Caroline Stanczyk (soprano) & Lucie St-Martin (soprano). The Stingray Rising Stars Award was presented to soprano Sarah Dufresne, other winners will be announced soon!
