Vancouver Opera dévoile le nom des jeunes artistes du programme Yulanda M. Faris pour 2020-2021

Nous félicitons les 6 artistes retenus par Vancouver Opera pour l’édition 2020-2021 de son programme Yulanda M. Faris à l’intention des jeunes artistes : Ian Cleary (ténor), Dana Fradkin (metteure en scène), Luka Kawabata (baryton), Amy Seulky Lee (pianiste), Jonelle Sills (soprano) et Amanda Weatherall (mezzo-soprano). Announcing the LINK Emerging Artist Program

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the brand new Emerging Artist Fellowship, the first of multiple initiatives as part of the Leadership, Innovation, Networking, Knowledge (LINK) Emerging Artist Programs. The Fellowship will identify fifteen exceptional Canadian emerging artists to participate in a year-long skill development and leadership training program.

Annonce du programme LINK pour les artistes émergents

Nous sommes ravis de lancer la toute nouvelle bourse pour les artistes émergents, la première de multiples initiatives dans le cadre des programmes LINK pour artistes émergents (en anglais « Leadership, Innovation, Networking, Knowledge »; c.-à-d., leadership, innovation, réseautage, connaissance). Grâce à cette bourse, quinze artistes émergents exceptionnels seront choisis pour participer à un programme de développement des compétences et de formation en leadership d’une durée d’un an.

National Opera Directors Recognition Award

The annual National Opera Directors Recognition Award program honours one opera company board member for exemplary leadership and support on behalf of their respective opera company within their community.

The selected honouree is celebrated in their community in addition to a special dinner in New York City in February, where they are joined by the US recipients of the National Opera Trustee Recognition Award.

The deadline to nominate a board member for this award will be announced soon. Please submit the completed nomination form to Christina Loewen in Word or PDF format.

Opera.ca provides a united voice to governments and policy makers at all levels. Through ongoing relationship building, networking and appropriate interventions, Opera.ca works to ensure that the interests of its members and the broader Canadian opera sector are understood and considered.

Through various initiatives, Opera.ca endeavours to raise the profile of the Canadian opera sector with its various stakeholders, including funders, opera audiences and the general public.
