Nicole Ross – Soprano
“C’est vraiment jolie, une belle voix” (CBC Radio Canada). Soprano Nicole Ross has been praised for her “simple acting and gorgeous vocal tone.” Nicole’s Opera credits include Suzanne in Schubert’s La Croisade des Dames, Grace Davis in Kurt Weill’s Street Scene, Flora in Benjamin Britten’s The Turn of the Screw with Opera McGill, and Musetta in Puccini’s La Bohème at the Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance. Nicole also has a keen interest in contemporary music, and has been a soloist with Tapestry Opera, the McGill Contemporary Music Ensemble and Ensemble Allure. Last fall, she was an emerging artist in residence at the Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance and received support from the Canada Council for the Arts to perform works composed by women. In July Nicole looks forward to performing a concert of opera arias at the Festival L’Art de la Musique with the L’orchestre à cordes du Festival in Gatineau, Quebec. Later this summer, she will study the role of Marie in Donizetti’s
La fille du régiment at Domaine Forget.
