Women of Impact in Opera

a Celebration of Canadian Women in Opera

in honour of

Women’s History Month

Featured Nominee: Claire Hopkinson

The Association for Opera in Canada (AOC) presents “Women of Impact in Opera”, a celebration of Canadian Women in Opera in honour of Women’s History Month.  This celebration is inclusive of all female-identified nominees.

Women’s History Month is an annual celebration working to highlight the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society. This year, AOC wants to celebrate the incredible women in our community: our leaders, artists, innovators, administrators, and all the women who impact and influence our art form and sector as a whole.

If someone you know is a woman and has made an impact on you or the opera sector, we want to celebrate them! To nominate an individual to be part of “Women of Impact in Opera“, fill out this short form. All nominees will be featured on our community-sourced gallery (housed on the AOC website), and shared via our newsletter and through our social media platforms. Thanks for taking the time to help us acknowledge the vital impact and irreplaceable work women do in Canadian opera.
